12 Things about Heather!
1.) I LOVE, Love, love taking baths! That seriously is what I look forward to in EVERY day! Besides for my Starbucks in the a.m., and you know, seeing my two precious boys, and my handsome hubby! I read every night in the bathtub....it's my "ME" time, and my wind-down time!
2.) I really wanted a girl! Does that sound bad! I REALLY wanted a "girly" girl like I was when I was little! I wanted a cheerleader, and a dancer!!! But I ended up with 2 boys! And let me tell you they are ALL boy! And.....I LOVE it, ya'll! I have turned into the baseball mama! Let me tell you! I LOVE going to my 11 year olds baseball tourneys and my 15 year old's cross country meets! It is soooo fun cheering for my boys! They are the sweetest, too! They love their mom and my 15 year old is getting so protective of me! LOVE!
3.) I have a Bassett Hound who is 10 years old and a new German Shepherd puppy! We are loving the puppy!!!!
4.) I love cats!!!!! I have a beautiful cat....she is MINE!!!
5.) I have an obsession with college football! Ya'll I LOVE it! I am all into the process! I think I love it so much because they are not getting paid and they are doing it for their schools and such! I went to Baylor University and we have never been that good at football but we had an awesome season this year!!!! Yay! My husband is an Oklahoma University fanatic! Boomer Sooner! Our new puppy is named, "Boomer"! LOVE IT!
6.) My favorite place is Disney World! OMG!!! We have been twice with our boys and I can't wait to go back!!! It truly is the most magical place on earth!
7.) I love reading! I am very passionate about it and I would have to say that it is my hobby! Anyone know of any books I have to read? I need some suggestions!!!
8.) My husband and I are high school sweethearts! We met our Jr year and have been together ever since! He is my soul-mate! He is the greatest man! REALLY!!! He is!!
9.) Hmmmm....what else? I really enjoy cooking! It is very fun for me! I love how blogging has really been great for finding new recipes and stuff! My favorite domestic blog right now is Cara Carroll's Pearls, Handcuffs, and Happy Hour! All of her recipes are awesome!
10.) I LOVE my church! I have the best church family ever! I LOVE JESUS! I listen to Christian music all the time on my radio(KSBJ) because it is so positive and I just have a much better out-look on life and the day ahead of me when I listen to it! I am loving the new Building 429 song-Where I Belong! OMG! It is soooo good! I down-loaded it today on my iPhone!
11.) I really want to go to Hawaii! I love beaches....soo it's like my dream vacation right now! I want to go stay at the new Disney resort they just built there! I would also like to go on a Disney Cruise and take the little excursion they offer over to Atlantis!!!!!!
12.) I LOVE my life!!!!!! :) I think God for all of the blessings he pours out on me everyday!
WOW!!! Okay....Part 2- Answer Kristina's questions!
1. Where is your favorite place to visit or go on vacation?
I kind of answered that already...oops! I love Disney World but we also go skiing at Crested Butte, CO and that's always fun...except this year my husband tore his patella tendon, ACL, and miniscus and had to be escorted down the mountain by ski patrol....on our FIRST day there! :( bummer!
2. What is your favorite children's book?
Ya' know I have soooo many! I love to read and I collect children's books!!!! I LOVE Pete the Cat, and the Llama, Llama books crack me up, and Robert Munsch cracks me up, and Mo Williems books are fun!!!! But recently (for groundhog day...even though they aren't groundhogs they are kinda like them) I read The Great Fuzz Frenzy! I love that book! Sooo funny....and the kids love it too! They kept asking me to read it all week!
3. Do you have any pets?
Yes....a Bassett Hound named Maisy, and a new puppy named Boomer, and a cat named Mystery!
4. What is your favorite thing to teach?
I love teaching writing! I think they learn soooo much from it! I also love my small reading groups, and I like to do opening or calendar time with my SMART board and calendar binders!
5. Do you have a favorite teaching book?
Like...a resource? Ummmm... I like all of Kimberly Jordanos books! I also read Debbie Diller's Math Work Stations this summer and am loving that!!!!
6. What is one of your favorite attention grabbers or transition songs?
I turn the lights off when I REALLY want to get their attention because my room does not have windows!!! :) I also do a little song I learned during student teaching....many moons ago.....

Umm.... Yeah!!! :) I love Cara Caroll's -Chicken Enchilada Pasta! YUM! I made it the other night!!!!!!
8. Favorite movie?
Well....my all time fave is The Wizard of Oz! I even collect Wizard of Oz stuff...but my favorite adult movie would have to be....Elf, and The Blindside!
9. What is your favorite hobby?
Reading, cooking, shopping :), watching my boys do their various sports, blogging, Pinterest, and creating school stuff!
10. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
LOL!! Neither.....:) I don't like to stay up real late....and I HATE getting up! Although....once I get up....I'm good! :) I {HEART} my sleep!
11. Who/what encourages you to keep going when things get tough at school?
Jesus :) My sweet hubby! and my sweet teacher friends!
12. What is one of your favorite funny kid stories?
Wow! There are sooo many! :) Ha!
Recently....one of my little girls asked me if I had to come to school on King of Art Day? I was like...what??? She said, "That day we didn't have to come? Did you?" I finally figured out she was talking about Martin Luther King Day! LOL! Tooo funny!!! That was a while back you know!!! It was not in my train of thought still!
